Blog Post 4

The movie that i have chosen is Despicable Me 2. The Scene where Lucy Wilde A wanna be spy agent work for the AVL that spy on GRU the main character . The scene open up as she looking at her him from a high angle then she approach him. They start using different their different weapon. They are many sound effects in the scene which are a good contribution to the scene. The different cut of shot which make the story telling better because she trying to recruit him so she shock him and place him on the trunk and take him to her cooperation to present to GRU their mission. The shots are well organize because you could see what happening it very unexpected but very entertaining to watch. Then two of the minion try to help out GRU and she put the in the car swell. In the car she drive of into the water to the underground office. This clip is well used at the beginning of the film because overall the most of the film is about this mission that Gru and Lucy are trying to capture villains. 0:41 till 2:14 the running time is only a small clip but you could get an idea of the the scene that I'm writing about.

Momi Trip

Visiting the Moving Image Museum was such an amazing experience. The tour was very helpful in understanding the different type of exhibitions. I really enjoy viewing the different type of makeup different actors use. A great example would be silent film actor Lon Chaney, the man of a thousand faces was one of the great special effects makeup artists As well the Movie godfather where the jowls  use the plumper so it could look droopy. I think is was such an amazing film.As well the different types of wigs and how it use in films. It a very important factor of movies because with the make-up and art they want to capture as many scene as possible it a long process. I really enjoy about the Production design where they set up how they want the building or scene to look like before shooting. Costume design which tell many thing where the character is from, it wealth, career and many more other things about the character. I really enjoy seeing the different type of cameras ad how everything back in the day were so hard compared to modern day. One of my favorite exhibition was the 2d illusion it was so creative and so simple i really love it hope in the future create something like it. In the museum we had the opportunity to use different technology. I use the sound effect of music in different scenes and how different the entire scene would be with a different music, also the sections where we play around with sound effect in different movies which was kool, and the last thing i visit was the sound booth where we would record our voice into a part of the movie. So me and three other friends got a bit creative and we created our own line to the movie. Overall is was such a good time i learn many things about film, image, production, and editing for the future use.

What I Hear

It 2:00am in the morning i decide to take my dog for a walk on my neighborhood. while walking down the steps i hear in other people apartment loud voice and music. The were playing Miley Cyrus wrecking ball. I stand in front of my building and hear passing cars, then out of sudden i hear a passing ambulance my dog then started to bark. I stood still I actually could listen to the noise that it makes when the lights are changing from red, yellow, green. I can hear the wind blowing against the trees. It very peaceful but washington heights is not as calm as it seem while the cars mainly taxis they played a music which the street can hear. As i continue to observe what i was listening to I close my eyes and their was footsteps behind me which a couple of friends were walking out of the building the door slams and closes. As they walking out of the building in their costume one of the girls cellphone drop on the floor suddenly. Her friends are laughing. She picked it up. As i hear the fingertip touching the screen as she wipes it to make sure it okay. They could continue to talk as their voices started to fade away. It was pure silent my dog walks up the steps and lay on my lap I could actually hear his heart beating and the way that he’s breathing as i pat his back it feel so relax. I continue to listen. I heard someone opening a bottle of soda. The sound of a brand new drink. I stand up i heard my keys in my pockets making a sound. I walk my dog around a tree and a a leave falls so slowly and onto the floor. My dog lift up a leg as he pee i hear the pee slamming itself to the tree roots. He finish throwing some dirt backwards. I walk back to the building went upstairs to sleep.
